This role involves supporting otolaryngology-specific reprocessing tasks and assisting nursing staff with unit operations.\n\nEssential Responsibilities:\nReprocessing and Quality Control:\n\nClean, disinfect, and reprocess medical equipment and supplies according to established protocols.\nPerform and document quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with infection control standards.\nEquipment and Inventory Maintenance:\n\nMonitor and maintain the functionality of equipment, requesting repairs or replacements as needed.\nManage inventory levels to ensure availability of supplies for daily operations.\nSupport Functions:\n\nCollaborate with nursing staff by performing selected tasks that support overall unit functions.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nCertifications:\n\nCSPD (Central Sterile Processing Department certification) required.\nCER (Certified Endoscope Reprocessing) certification required.\nExperience:\n\nMinimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience.\nDemonstrated knowledge of reprocessing protocols in otolaryngology is essential.
