Senior Statistician University of California, Los Angeles Requisition Number: 30202 Salary: $5,325 - $10,533 monthly Position Description: Under the supervision of the Director of the Statistical Unit at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, the Senior Statistician will: Perform methodology research, statistical support, and analyses for research projects. Handle data processing, data imputation, and data file development for the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). Consult independently with department representatives and principal investigators on study planning and implementation. Advise on experimental designs and statistical tests to ensure valid conclusions. Develop statistical analyses, mathematical models, and write and revise programs using SAS, R, Stata, SUDAAN, etc. Participate in planning meetings to communicate statistical approaches. Research and develop methods for measuring health outcomes and evaluating health programs. Prepare research manuscripts and write grants for funding.
