Kido, a global network of innovative international nurseries and preschools, is looking for a Bilingual Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teacher at Kido Heights (1307 Yale Street, Houston, Tx 77008 ) who is fluent in both Spanish and English. Kido takes elements from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner, combines them with beautiful learning spaces and 21st-century technology, and provides customized experiences to children to help them develop their cognitive, social, physical, and creative abilities. As the Bilingual Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teacher at Kido Heights, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. You will use your skills as a bilingual teacher to ensure that both Spanish and English speaking children are able to communicate effectively and understand each other. You will also work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to promote the best interests of children and families.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
  • Observe and assess individual children's development and progress
  • Communicate regularly with families about their children and maintain positive relationships with them
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan and coordinate activities and curriculum
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
  • Provide a positive role model for children by demonstrating positive behaviors and attitudes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, curriculum, and assessment practices
  • Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for young children
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with young children, families, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
