Overview
The Lakes at Castle Hills is seeking a dynamic Director of Racquet Sports to lead and elevate all aspects of its tennis operations, including programming, staff management, and member engagement. This leadership role requires a certified and experienced professional with a strong teaching background, proven administrative skills, and a passion for fostering an exceptional racquets culture within a private club setting.

Located in Lewisville, Texas, The Lakes at Castle Hills is a premier private country club founded in 1999 and redesigned in 2011. From its championshiplevel 18hole golf course - recognized among Texas's Top 100 - to its boutique atmosphere, resortstyle pool, fitness center, dining, and events, the club offers a full luxury experience focused on family, community and tradition
The Lakes at Castle Hills features four U.S. Open-style, lighted hard courts with a blue surface and a comfortable clubhouse lounge. Members enjoy a comprehensive racquets program with yearround clinics, camps, social mixers, TCD and USTA league play, and private, semiprivate and group lessons led by USPTA/USPTR professionals. The club also provides a full tennis shop, demo racquets, stringing services and a playpractice ball machine for optimal training and recreation

Description:
The Director of Racquet Sports is responsible for overseeing all tennis operations, programs, staff, and events at The
Lakes at Castle Hills Country Club. This role ensures a high-quality and engaging tennis experience for members of all
ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong teaching skills, excellent customer service,
and the ability to promote a vibrant tennis culture within the club.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
  • Program Management
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive year-round tennis program for adults, juniors, and families,including clinics, private lessons, leagues, tournaments, and social events.
    • Plan and promote events that encourage member engagement and participation.
    • Oversee club league teams- TCD, USTA, Metro, and more.
  • Staff Leadership
    • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise tennis professionals and support staff.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure quality instruction and member satisfaction.
  • Facility Oversight
    • Monitor the condition of tennis courts, equipment, and related facilities, coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to ensure top-tier presentation.
    • Oversee court reservations and usage policies.
  • Instruction & Coaching
    • Provide private and group lessons for members of all ages and abilities.
    • Stay up to date with current teaching techniques and trends in tennis instruction.
  • Member Relations
    • Foster strong relationships with members to understand their needs and ensure excellent service.
    • Handle concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Administration
    • Develop and manage the tennis department budget.
    • Monitor inventory of tennis supplies and merchandise; coordinate with pro shop if applicable.
    • Maintain accurate records for payroll, lessons, and programs.

Qualifications:
  • RSPA or PTR Certified (required)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years teaching and 3+ years of leadership experience in a tennis facility or country club
  • Strong knowledge of tennis operations, programming, and instruction
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, run, and demonstrate tennis techniques for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs of equipment
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
