We’re looking to hire a professional with experience in sanitation who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our buildings. The role will be responsible for all cleaning and sanitation duties between our buildings. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, organization, and takes pride in a job well done. The professional in the role will be required to work between our Edison building office spaces and our Central building office space, with some warehouse cleanup as needed.

$23 - $26 hourly

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Cleaning wood, linoleum, tile, and other flooring types
• Cleaning the lunchroom/Breakroom and restocking supplies
• Cleaning refrigerators and microwaves
• Wiping down kitchen equipment and countertops
• Shampooing rugs and carpets
• Emptying warehouse trash cans
• Dusting/ cleaning vents
• Dusting all surfaces, High and Low
• Waxing and/or Buffing floors
• Accurate Ordering of cleaning supplies as needed
• Washing inside windows
• Sweeping the warehouse floor with a dust compound
• Breaking down cardboard boxes to be baled
• Maintaining and organizing inventory
• Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
• Collecting and taking out the Office trash and recycling
• Report hazards to the appropriate parties
• Maintain cleaning equipment and products

• 5+ years of experience within the role
• Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks accordingly
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Experience running different machinery for that related field, like floor sweepers, scrubbers, carpet extractors, upholstery extractors, and vacuums
• Experience cleaning or treating different tabletops/counter materials
• Time management and multitasking abilities
• Organization skills
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate a pallet jack/ pallet moving equipment
• Basic mathematics skills
• Extensive floor care experience with knowledge of how to clean or treat different types of flooring materials
• Proficient at stripping and waxing floors
• The ability to track product usage and maintain an extensive inventory to prevent shortages

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move over 25+ pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Physical strength and stamina
