Candidates should demonstrate research and teaching strengths in the sociology of gender/sexualities, with a preference for those able to teach Queer Theory/Methods. Experience teaching a first-year sociology course requiring qualitative methods is preferred. Candidates should have an emerging or established research program with potential for external funding, a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring, and the capacity to contribute to diversity initiatives and public service. Our department serves a large undergraduate program with majors in Sociology and Criminology & Criminal Justice. We also offer graduate programs including a Master’s and PhD in Sociology.
