About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Government Affairs to spearhead the establishment of its internal government relations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing advocacy efforts at both the state and federal levels, with a focus on shaping and influencing policy issues relevant to the company's operations. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in managing relationships with legislators, executive branch officials, and political stakeholders. The VP will lead engagement with external lobbying firms, trade associations, and other political organizations, and will be instrumental in developing and executing the company's legislative strategy and messaging. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Government Affairs include designing and overseeing public affairs campaigns, serving as a strategic liaison between government affairs and key internal teams, and representing the company before policymakers and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, the ability to simplify complex issues, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, start-up environment. A B.A./B.S. is required, with a J.D. preferred, and a background in gaming (casino, sports, iGaming) is a plus. The role demands a professional who is adept at interpreting legislation, assessing business impacts, and proactively identifying and addressing strategic issues.
