Transportation Manager (1111856)

Location: Indianola, MS

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 USD Annually

Description: One of our client is currently seeking a Transportation Manager for their facility located in a very rural part of Mississippi. Were seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize our refrigerated logistics network. This role is critical in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining cold chain integrity, and leading a team of drivers and coordinators to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily transportation operations for refrigerated goods across regional and national routes.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FDA, and food safety regulations.
• Develop and implement cost?effective routing and scheduling strategies.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and vendor relationships.
• Monitor KPIs such as on?time delivery, fuel efficiency, and temperature control compliance.
• Lead, train, and motivate transportation staff to achieve performance goals.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to streamline supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of transportation management experience, ideally in refrigerated or perishable goods.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cold chain logistics, and fleet management.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Excellent problem?solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
