Position: Territory Sales Representative (Food and Beverage)
Location: Santa Ana
Employment Type: Full-Time (Exempt: Outside Sales)
Reports to: District Sales Manager

Job Summary:
The Territory Sales Representative is a critical member of our sales team, primarily focused on driving outside sales growth by cultivating and maintaining relationships with key decision makers within an assigned territory. As an exempt outside sales employee, your primary responsibility is to generate sales through direct customer interaction in the field, ensuring that all merchandising activities are directly tied to your sales efforts. You will travel to and from customer locations, present products, negotiate sales, and create sales orders, ensuring that product displays are optimized to support your sales goals.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Sales Focus: Actively sell products and increase brands’ presence through better placement and increased space to customers within an assigned territory; meeting or exceeding sales targets through presentations, negotiations and direct engagement with decision makers.
• Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and tailoring sales strategies to meet those needs.
• Merchandising: Ensure that all sold products are merchandised in a way that supports your sales efforts and is a condition of making the sale. This includes product placement, visibility, and adherence to company merchandising standards.
• Sales management and forecasting: Monitor and manage inventory levels at customer locations, ensuring that products are stocked and rotated appropriately to support ongoing sales.
• Delivery Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of products as part of the sales process, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries that align with customer expectations.
• Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments to better position your sales strategies and respond to customer inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales, with a strong emphasis on direct, outside sales.
• Have a professional background in the beverage industry.
• Display excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
• Display a high level of initiative and accountability.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to drive up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
