Technical Writer

6-month Contract

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operational Process Documentation Specialist for a 6-month project, with the potential for longer-term opportunities. This role involves documenting operational processes for our client’s field technicians, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document Operational Processes: Create comprehensive documentation for all operational processes relevant to our field technicians, excluding technical processes.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the operations team at the store support center and field organization leaders to gather necessary information and ensure process alignment.
• Process Listing: Develop a detailed listing of processes that technicians need to be capable of covering, including asset protection, field management, and reporting processes.
• Engage with SMEs: Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and existing field leaders to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the documentation.
• SOP Documentation: Utilize existing SOP documentation as a foundation and expand upon it to cover all necessary operational aspects.
• Tools and Systems: Document processes related to tools and systems such as D365 and Dispatch Me, ensuring clarity on steps and expectations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of previous experience in operational and procedural writing
• Experience in rentals, field support or heavy equipment context is a plus
• Proficiency in creating SOPs, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
• Highly curious, proactive in seeking to understand processes, and excellent at communicating complex information clearly.
• A portfolio showcasing previous documentation work is a plus.

Hybrid Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday onsite in Atlanta, GA. Friday remote
