Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients in preparing financial statements budgets and reports.
• Collaborating with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
• Ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and laws.
• Preparing federal state and local income tax returns for individuals businesses and organizations.
• Continually updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities reading professional publications maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
• Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations for cost reduction and profit maximization.
• Providing guidance on financial matters to other departments within the company.
• Utilizing financial software systems such as QuickBooks and Lacerte to maintain records and prepare reports.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of tax code compliance and procedures for corporations.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting preferably in a CPA firm.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a must.
• Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
