Polaris is currently seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This position will require onsite customer support in Augusta, GA.

Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000.
This range represents Polaris' good faith estimate of the salary for this position, based on the role's location, scope of responsibilities, and market benchmarks. Final compensation will be determined at the time of offer and may vary depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's relevant education, certifications, years of experience, specialized skills, and internal equity considerations.
Security Clearance - Current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
At least 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) and a Bachelors in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Experience in designing enterprise APIs. Experience in RESTful web services. Experience in Microservices architecture. Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms. Experience with the agile software lifecycle. Has a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting. Experience with the Linux operating system. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven). Strong communication skills to interact with customers on a daily basis. DoD 8570 compliance certification is required (i.e. Security+). Must be able to work on customer site in Augusta, GA 2-3 days a week. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
