EXPERIENCE:(4) Four years of journeyman-level experience in the plumbing trade. SPECIAL LICENSE/REQUIREMENTS:Possess and maintain a valid California operator's license to operate District vehicles as determined by the District and liability insurance carrier. Must provide own hand tools. KNOWLEDGE OF:Plans and specifications; standard practices, materials, hand and power tools of one or more trade; safety practices and regulations pertaining to the trade; applicable city, county, state and building codes. ABILITY TO:Read plans and specifications; use tools and machinery of the trades, follow written and oral instructions; work from sketches and diagrams. PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to relate effectively with staff, students, parents and community, good judgment and flexibility. APPOINTMENT: An employee in this class must serve a probationary period of six (6) months during which time an employee must demonstrate at least an overall satisfactory performance. Failure to do so shall result in the employee's termination.
