Senior Tax Analyst Federal Tax | Fortune 500 Pharma Company | Deerfield, IL | Hybrid

Join a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical leader headquartered in Deerfield, IL as a Senior Tax Analyst specializing in U.S. federal income tax . This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly respected tax team within a global organization , where you'll support federal tax compliance, provision, and planning in a fast-paced, regulated industry.

What Youll Do:

• Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. federal income tax returns , including consolidated group filings.
• Support the calculation and documentation of the quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740 , including book-to-tax differences and deferred taxes.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate federal tax compliance .
• Perform research and analysis of federal tax issues and assist with documentation to support tax positions.
• Contribute to IRS audit defense , responding to inquiries and preparing supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities for tax process improvements, automation, and risk mitigation .
• Stay current with tax law changes and assess their impact on the business.

What You Bring:

• 35 years of experience in U.S. federal tax , ideally in public accounting or a large corporate tax department .
• Solid understanding of corporate income tax regulations and ASC 740 .
• Experience with large corporate consolidated returns and related reporting requirements.
• CPA or Masters in Taxation preferred .
• Proficiency in tax compliance software (OneSource, Corptax, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
