Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate must have advanced expertise in Python, SQL, and Snowflake architecture, along with experience in Airflow orchestration and Kafka-based data synchronization.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake job responsibilities include:
Design, build, and manage data pipelines for ETL processes using Airflow for orchestration and Python for scripting.
Implement and maintain data synchronization between on-premises Oracle databases and Snowflake using Kafka and CDC tools.
Develop and optimize Snowflake data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with data architects to ensure efficient data structures for reporting and analytics.
Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.
Ensure best practices in CICD implementation for automated deployment of data pipelines and infrastructure changes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
8–10+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Snowflake and modern data platforms.
Proven expertise in building and managing data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and SQL, along with experience in Kafka and CDC tools for data integration.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, data modeling principles, and cloud platforms (preferably Azure) for scalable data solutions.
