  • Interface with regulatory agencies to secure environmental clearances, coastal development permits, and other required authorizations.
  • Deep understanding of civil and structural engineering principles ideally related to marine and ferry infrastructure or similar projects.
  • Proven ability to prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for complex projects involving facility buildings and miscellaneous structures.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable codes, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering design, specifications, estimating, and inspection of construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in procuring and managing third-party consultants.
  • Experience in public-sector project execution is highly preferred, though private-sector professionals with relevant public infrastructure project exposure are welcome.
  • California Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, held for at least 5 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience working on transportation or marine infrastructure projects, especially ferry terminals or coastal facilities or similar preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software and documentation systems.
