SAFETY & COMPLIANCE MANAGER

We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as our Safety & Compliance
Manager someone who shares our passion for firearms and commitment to
excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Safety & Compliance Manager, you'll be the cornerstone of our operation,
ensuring all Shoot Smart ranges maintain perfect compliance with ATF regulations while
implementing industry-leading safety practices. This position combines your firearms
expertise with professional compliance management skills in a dynamic, customer-
focused environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage company safety practices, OSHA regulations, and ATF
compliance across all range locations
Inspect and monitor ranges to ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state,
and local laws
Maintain perfect readiness for ATF audits through thorough record inspections
and quality control
Train and mentor staff members on safety protocols and proper Form 4473
completion
Oversee compliance with commercial hygiene, air quality, fire safety, and
hazardous waste disposal
Maintain accurate records related to OSHA compliance, employee testing, and
safety documentation
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
In-depth firearms knowledge, including mechanics, nomenclature, and the function of
various firearms
Comprehensive understanding of ATF rules and regulations, especially regarding
NFA items
Strong problem-solving skills to research and understand current and
forthcoming regulations
Excellent communication abilities to effectively train staff and provide expert
guidance
Meticulous attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in all compliance
documentation
5-10 years of experience processing Form 4473s in firearms sales
Completion of a 30-hour OSHA Outreach Training Program for General Industry
2+ years of experience in indoor range operations and training/instructional
experience
