What’s involved in this role:  

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor in Jerome, ID.

  • Lead the execution of the site’s quality programs, including GMPs, GLPs, HACCP, and food safety systems.

  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and train QA staff, ensuring the team is equipped to handle daily tasks and quality checks.

  • Conduct routine audits and verification of quality systems, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with production and other departments to address and resolve quality-related issues.

  • Oversee product sampling, testing, and release processes, ensuring accurate and timely analysis. 

  • Ensure electronic system updates are verified for raw materials and finished products.

  • Lead investigations of product deviations, non-conformities, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance and take actions to improve outcomes where needed.

  • Ensure site readiness for external audits.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights on quality and food safety.

  • Ensure all documentation related to quality control and assurance is accurate and up to date including Certificate of Analysis (COA) documentation as applicable.

  • Assist in the development and refinement of SOPs and other quality-related documentation.

  • Oversee training programs for production employees on quality standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Take part in continuous quality improvement initiatives, supporting plant-wide quality enhancement programs.

What you need to join our team:   

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality assurance in the food industry, with a leadership role required.

  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations required.

  • Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred. 

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
