This role will provide senior leadership across all active accounts while also contributing to the agencys growth by participating in business development efforts.

As Public Relations Director, youll:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Oversight

• Lead and oversee PR strategy across the agencys entire portfolio of active accounts , ensuring consistency, excellence, and high-impact results.
• Provide senior counsel to clients and internal teams, ensuring that brand narratives are compelling, innovative, and aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as a key decision-maker on client strategy, messaging, and execution across traditional and digital media platforms.

Team Management & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level PR staff, fostering a high-performing team culture that prioritizes innovation and collaboration.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure team growth and excellence in client service.
• Establish best practices for media pitching, client reporting, and strategic storytelling to elevate the agencys overall capabilities.

Business Development & Growth

• Play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities by leveraging industry expertise and relationships.
• Collaborate with leadership on pitch development and proposals , helping to attract and win new clients.
• Proactively build relationships with potential clients and industry partners to expand the agencys portfolio.

Media & Communications Strategy

• Oversee and drive high-level media strategies for all clients, ensuring maximum exposure and results.
• Lead the execution of media outreach, event publicity, and digital PR efforts, ensuring key messages reach the right audiences.
• Take a hands-on approach to crisis communications, providing strategic guidance to clients during high-stakes situations.

Operational Excellence & Reporting

• Manage PR budgets, calendars, and workflow processes to ensure efficiency across accounts.
• Oversee the development and distribution of internal and client-facing reports on media performance, key wins, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, content, and digital, to align PR efforts with broader marketing initiatives.

• You have 10+ years of public relations experience , preferably within an agency setting, with a strong background in leading multiple accounts and delivering high-impact results.
• You are a proven leader , with experience managing PR teams, developing talent, and ensuring consistent excellence across client accounts.
• You have a track record of securing top-tier media placements and executing standout PR campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
• You have business development experience and a passion for growing client relationships and securing new accounts .
• You excel in analytics and reporting, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize campaign impact.
• You are adaptable, strategic, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
• You are a strong communicator, editor and storyteller, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with media and consumers alike.
