About the Role

The Product Owner is an integral part of Latham's Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders and Technology & Information Services leadership to define the vision and strategy for technology products, while leading the life cycle of cross-departmental products spanning diverse technology teams and departments, and advocating for long-term strategic enhancements aligned with organizational objectives. This role will be located in our Global Services Office located in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Defining, documenting, and communicating the product vision guiding the development team and stakeholders in alignment with customer feedback, market research, performance metrics, and firm goals; delivering compelling product presentations and reports, securing stakeholder support
  • Coordinating with other Product Owners to ensure alignment and integration of product strategies across the firm
  • Collecting business and stakeholder requirements, translating them into user stories and acceptance criteria, and managing a clear and transparent product backlog, creating, prioritizing, and refining user stories
  • Developing roadmaps to demonstrate long-term product vision, making decisions regarding product features, scope, and priorities, and communicating product releases
  • Planning work in collaboration with the scrum master and development team, providing clear direction and leadership, and holding retrospective sessions to review and assess progress
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Display the ability to understand and articulate the 'big picture' business goals and clear vision for the product
  • Possess advanced and effective business analysis skills

And have:

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent; a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, Management, or a related field, preferably
  • Technical certifications in relevant areas, such as Agile Certification, Scrum Master, and SAFe, preferably
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a product owner for Agile software development teams or related areas
  • Experience in the legal industry or a similar regulated environment, preferably

Pay Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
