Senior Outage Planner – Power Generation
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Outage Planner to lead the coordination and scheduling of planned outages for power generation equipment. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for candidates with deep experience in outage planning across mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems in coal, gas, or combined cycle plants.
The Senior Planner will work closely with plant leadership, contractors, and internal teams to develop accurate outage plans, optimize resources, and ensure safety and compliance throughout the execution window. Travel for up to 2 months may be required during major outages.Key Qualifications
· • 10+ years of experience in outage planning within the power generation sector.
· • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems in fossil and/or combined cycle plants.
· • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
· • Strong experience with CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP, or equivalent.
· • Demonstrated ability to lead planning teams and facilitate cross-functional coordination.
· • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of delivering on outage deadlines.
· • PMP certification or advanced planning credentials strongly preferred.
· • Willingness to travel for extended durations during execution windows.
