Capability Unit Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations. Position Summary Pilots-in-command (PICs) are aircraft commanders aboard Metrea Strategic Mobility’s (MSM) KC-135 tanker aircraft. Role and Responsibilities Command a crew of 3 while responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency scenarios. Conduct procedurally correct and expeditious pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists, and documentation. Maintain Situational Awareness (SA) and use Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight. Adhere to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOPs), Ground Operation Procedures (GOPs), FAA regulations, and Safety Notices. Maintain all currencies, qualifications, and advanced systems knowledge related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet. All other duties as assigned. Education, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree required 100 hours of flight time in KC-135 Aircraft 1000 total hours (with the military conversion rate of 1 military hour equal to 1.2 civilian hours) KC-135 MPRS Experience US Air Force Instrument/Qualification, KC-135 check-ride in the last year Prefer US Air Force Instrument/Qualification, KC-135 check-ride in the previous 12 months KC-135R IP/EP experience in the previous 51 months KC-135 Block 30 experience Skills Ability to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance. Good command of the English language; oral and written. Computer Skills Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs Certificates Minimum of FAA Flying Class 2 Physical FCC Radiotelegraph Operators Permit Current ATP or Restricted ATP Current MEI and CFII certificate B-707 Type rating Current US Passport Valid Driver’s License Additional Information Our Culture: Metrea’s core value “rooted in humility” is supported by attributes such as entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning & over-deliver, which form our Teammate Firmware and culture.
