Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Furniture Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering, assembling, and installing various types of furniture at client locations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. You will work independently and as part of a team to complete installations efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and install commercial and residential furniture (desks, chairs, conference tables, cubicles, shelving, etc.).
  • Read and interpret floor plans, installation drawings, and product manuals.
  • Assemble and disassemble furniture using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect furniture for damage and verify completeness of parts before installation.
  • Communicate with clients and team members to ensure accurate placement and assembly of items.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized worksite.
  • Operate company vehicles to transport furniture when required.
  • Document work completed and report any issues to supervisors or project managers.
  • Perform minor repairs or adjustments on-site as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in furniture installation, carpentry, or related trade is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50+ lbs.) and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if driving company vehicles).
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites, intercity and out of state, work occasional evenings or weekends if needed.
  • Willing to train a qualified candidate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with modular office furniture systems (e.g., Friant, Steelcase, Herman Miller, HON).
  • Familiarity with basic computer or mobile device apps for documentation or job tracking.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor and outdoor job sites including offices, schools, hospitals, and construction sites.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and physical labor in various settings.
