Are you someone who brings calm, reassurance, and quiet support during challenging times? We are seeking dependable, compassionate Hospital Sitters to provide non-medical bedside support and wellness observation to patients in hospitals or care facilities. Your presence can offer safety, comfort, and peace of mind to individuals who simply need someone by their side.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Hospital Sitter, you’ll offer a steady, attentive presence to patients who may be recovering, confused, anxious, or in need of focused, one-on-one support. While you won’t be performing any medical tasks, your role is essential to promoting emotional security and patient safety.
Your responsibilities may include:
Bedside Companionship - Sitting quietly with patients, providing a calming presence, engaging in gentle conversation, or simply offering emotional support.
Observation & Safety Monitoring - Keeping a watchful eye on patient behavior and alerting nursing staff to signs of distress, confusion, or restlessness.
Communication Support - Acting as an extra set of eyes and ears for both care teams and family members, sharing timely updates or concerns.
Routine Support - Offering non-clinical assistance such as adjusting pillows, bringing water, or helping maintain a peaceful room environment.
Emotional Wellness - Encouraging a sense of calm, dignity, and comfort through your respectful presence and attentiveness.

Who We’re Looking For
Naturally calm, patient, and emotionally steady
Compassionate and respectful toward all individuals, regardless of their health or mental state
Able to sit or remain present with a patient for extended periods with focus and care
Attentive, observant, and responsive. Able to communicate clearly with nursing staff
Comfortable in clinical or healthcare environments (no hands-on care required)
Required Qualifications
Clear background and criminal history check
Fingerprinting clearance (as required by state/healthcare agencies)
Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record (if driving is required)
Negative pre-employment drug screen (random testing may apply)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay alert during long shifts
Physically able to sit/stand for extended periods
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required
Working Conditions
On-site at hospitals, rehab centers, or care facilities
Shifts range 4–12 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Professional appearance and behavior required
Must follow HIPAA and confidentiality standards
