The GSE Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational readiness of all ground support equipment, while also leading and supporting the GSE team. This position requires a hands-on leader who is able to step in and assist with mechanical work, when necessary, maintain strong communication with customers, and manage tasks related to equipment service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the GSE department, ensuring all equipment is maintained in a safe, compliant, and fully operational condition.
• Plan, assign, and monitor all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across a wide range of GSE assets including tugs, Beltloader, Ground Power Units, refueler trucks, and other critical equipment.
• Provide leadership and guidance to technicians, including training, performance management, and support with technical issues as needed.
• Maintain accountability for PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) schedules, ensuring timely completion and documentation.
• Be prepared to step in and assist technicians with diagnostics, troubleshooting, or urgent repairs during high-demand periods or when technical expertise is required.
• Utilize electrical and hydraulic schematics and test equipment to guide and support complex diagnostic work.
• Ensure that all work orders are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with maintenance procedures and standards.
• Oversee parts inventory, tool control, and vendor coordination, ensuring necessary resources are available for uninterrupted operations.
• Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations, codes, and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records, supporting operational audits and reporting.
• Use computer systems and maintenance tracking software to manage workflows, document work, and monitor equipment status.
• Respond to emails and inquiries in a timely, professional manner, maintaining clear and effective communication
• Follow up with customers and vendors regarding equipment availability, maintenance status, and outstanding issues.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in ground support equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience maintaining and repairing ground support equipment.
• Ability and willingness to perform mechanical duties in the field when required.
• Proven leadership experience in a maintenance or operations setting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in computer systems, email communication, and maintenance tracking software.
• Experience with quoting and customer communications is a plus.

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience
