About the role Join us as a GNOSC Watch Officer / Network Engineer supporting the Missile Defense Agency at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a passion for network operations and cybersecurity, offering the opportunity to work in a 24/7 Global Network Operations and Security Center. You will play a critical role in monitoring and maintaining network and system security, coordinating incident management, and communicating with executive leadership and government stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities - Monitor and manage continuous 24/7 Global Network Operations and Security Center activities.
- Execute network, system, and cloud infrastructure monitoring and incident management.
- Support service maintenance activities, including Change Management, during assigned shifts.
- Manage IT incident response and escalation with clear communication to management and government stakeholders.
- Coordinate cybersecurity operations and compliance with DISA security tools.
- Develop and deliver training materials for team members.
- Maintain operational readiness and security of network infrastructure.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including VIPs and dignitaries.

Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years of directly related experience in network operations or cybersecurity.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
- Obtain DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and support 24/7 operations.
- Experience or knowledge of the ITIL framework and IT service management processes.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Micro Focus NNMi.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and information assurance practices.
- Capability to train team members and develop lesson plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT incident response and escalation.
