The Lube Technician is responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles. This includes adhering to express lube guidelines, performing lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, lubricating all joints including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints. The technician reports all necessary repairs to the service advisor, installs completed LOF reminder stickers in vehicles, checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed. They also check coolant levels and refill as necessary, ensure the vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints, check fluid levels prior to release of vehicle, maintain CSI at or above company standards, keep an organized, clean and safe work area, participate in required training, record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system, follow safeguards rules and regulations, demonstrate the company’s core values, comply with company policies and procedures, and observe all federal, state, local and company safety rules and regulations. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications include a high school diploma, up to 3 years of automotive work experience, basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems, mechanical skills, technical training or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively, and meet attendance expectations. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical activities. The work environment includes exposure to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. The job requires reading and comprehension skills, math ability, and reasoning ability.
