Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Custodian Team is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the building and facilities are kept in an orderly fashion. You will be required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed below, along with other duties that are assigned to you throughout your employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

· General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition

· Vacuum, sweep, dust and mop floors and wipe walls as needed in office and assigned production areas

· Stock restrooms as needed with paper products, soap, sanitizer as needed.

· Plunge toilets as needed

· Clean up spills when needed with proper equipment

· Collect and dispose of assigned trash in offices/ bathrooms/ outside cans

· Pick up trash in outdoor areas when needed

· Outdoor work such as cigarette receptacles, trash cans, remove trash around office and service doors

· Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision

· Check and replace batteries in electronic items such as towel dispensers, sanitizers, air fresheners

· Ensure coffee pots are cleaned after use before shift ends in assigned areas.

· Minor maintenance repairs, for example: changing light bulbs, furnace filters, clearing backed up sink drains

· Help cover responsibilities of other team members in the event of absenteeism

· Clean designated break areas after breaks and lunch breaks; counters, floors, tables and microwaves

· Stock freezers with ice and frozen electrolyte sticks for employee use

· Replenish water cooler supplies and keep clean

· Re stock designated water areas with water bottles

· Re stock sanitary supplies,

Requirements

• Work inside without air conditioning and outside in all weather conditions

• Work in hot and cold, dusty, greasy, and noisy environments

• Able to stand and walk around all day

• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending regularly

• Must be able to lift and handle up to 100 pounds of material
