Curriculum Design Specialist Naval Support Activity - Millington, TN 38053
60 - 70K (Depending on experience) - Full time with benefits
Day Shift between 6am-6pm
Here's your opportunity to support an Enterprise-level U.S. Navy Call Center focused on developing training materials and providing hands-on education to personnel.
The other primary responsibilities of this position includes administering, organizing, and conducting training and educational programs in connection with management and promotional development, on-the job training, and employee orientation. You will also maintain records of training activities and employee progress and monitor effectiveness of programs.

To qualify for this position, you will need: - Two (2) years training design and delivery experience
- Ability to achieve and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Working experience in instructional design and instructional technology
- Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Knowledge of course development software
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to storyboard.
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
- Virtual learning design experience
- Knowledge related to creating measurable knowledge transfer materials including SCCORUM.
- Coachable and willingness to learn.
- Team and solutions oriented.
- Self-starter
- Preferred - Bachelor's or Associates Degree
Responsibilities include: - Design and develop instructional materials while incorporating instructional design principles and technologies.
- Demonstrate your expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Design learning content that is measurable
- Create high-quality learning experiences using design strategies that focus on adult learning styles.
- Foster the growth and development of learners through well-designed and impactful instructional programs/modules.
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
- Implement criteria used to judge learner's retention levels and associated assessment instruments.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
- Consistently review and update learning materials as discovered and as needed.
- Measure/observe training delivery of content.
