About the Department: The Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) is where students discover connections and community. TRIO Programs were established to support the nations commitment to providing educational opportunities for all Americans to enter college, graduate, and move on to participate more fully in realizing Americas Economic and Social Dream. These Programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and are referred to as TRIO Programs because initially, there were just three programs Upward Bound (UB), Talent Search (TS), and Student Support Services (SSS). The number has expanded to include Educational Opportunity Centers, Ronald E, McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program, Upward Bound Math & Science, and Veterans Upward Bound.

What we offer:
The College Success Coach plays a critical role in fostering academic achievement, personal growth, and successful matriculation for students participating in the federally funded TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) and SSS-STEM programs. The Coach provides individualized and group coaching, advising, and support services to a varied caseload of eligible students, including first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities. The Coach helps students navigate the complexities of higher education, develop essential academic and life skills, and connect with campus resources to ensure their success from enrollment through graduation. Evening and occasional weekend hours are required.
