Chief Marketing Officer (Founding Member)

LAMU is an AI Matchmaking & Relationship Companion designed for modern professionals who want meaningful, intentional connections. We combine curated matching with AIguided interaction, helping users move smoothly from discovery meeting dating longterm connection.

We are an earlystage consumer AI startup launching in Seattle and the Bay Area. Our team is deeply technical and productfirst, building 01 experiences in one of the fastestgrowing consumer verticals: relationship tech + AI agents.

Role Description

Title: Chief Marketing Officer (Founding Member)

Location: Seattle / Bay Area / Remote

Job Type: Fulltime Founding Team Equity Included

As LAMUs Founding CMO, you will own the full marketing and GTM function from strategy to execution. This role combines growth, acquisition, branding, and influencer ecosystembuilding. You will design our multichannel ToC growth engine, shape the brand narrative, and lead all initiatives that bring users into LAMUand keep them engaged.

This is a handson leadership role where you will work directly with the founders to craft the companys GTM roadmap and scale highROI growth systems from scratch.

What You Will Do

• Own LAMUs endtoend ToC GTM strategy , from positioning to execution
• Oversee all acquisition channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Xiaohongshu
• Develop & manage influencer partnerships & UGC creator ecosystems
• Drive performance marketing and SEO/SEM
• Build community, events, referral loops, and partnerships
• Build and scale highROI growth experiments, doubling down on what works
• Develop LAMUs brand identity, storytelling, and voice across all touchpoints
• Lead GTM for feature launches, geographic expansions, and partnership rollouts
• Build & refine analytics metrics: CAC, LTV, funnel metrics, retention
• Establish structured marketing processes, creative pipelines, and playbooks
• Recruit and lead a highperforming marketing/growth team
• Work crossfunctionally with product, operations, and engineering to align strategy

Qualifications

Required

• Share the pain point of dating app fatigue, and genuinely want to help people find serious relationships more effectively and efficiently.
• Proven track record of consumer GTM growth with measurable, high ROI.
• Experience managing multichannel acquisition across social, influencers, and paid.
• Ability to build growth engines from 01 (or 110) in a consumer startup.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to operate both strategically and handson.
• Comfortable with earlystage ambiguity, rapid iteration, and founderlevel ownership.

Preferred

• Prior experience in consumer apps, social/lifestyle brands, or dating tech.
• Experience with communityled growth, content engines, and referral systems.
• Ability to build and manage a highperforming marketing or growth team.
• Highly datadriven; comfortable designing experiments and interpreting metrics.
