Busy and growing Bankruptcy Law Firm with offices throughout New Jersey looking for Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of Bankruptcy experience to join our team in our Edison office. The ideal candidate is able to handle a volume of files while maintaining high quality representation and client attention.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bankruptcy Law experience required.
- Court appearance experience required.
- Experience in debtor representation in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 a plus.
- Court room and bankruptcy related litigation experience a plus.
- Licensed NJ Attorney in state and federal courts.
DUTIES:
- Court Appearances, 341 Creditors meetings, Arbitrations, Mediations, and Depositions.
- Work in tandem with partner attorneys and independently in representation of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy clients.
- Work with partner attorneys, paralegals and staff support in preparation and filing of bankruptcy petitions.
- Draft motions and pleadings, legal research, and legal memoranda for filing in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
- Review State and Federal Court pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and related motion practice.
- Direct communication with firm’s bankruptcy clients during preparation and representation in cases.
