Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Riviera Country Club– Los Angeles, CA

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our members and guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences. You will assist in the oversight and management of multiple dining outlets, including fine dining, casual dining, and special events. This role assists in delivering a seamless, high-touch dining experience for our members and their guests, while supporting the management and development of our front-of-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Train, mentor, and motivate front-of-house staff to uphold the highest service standards.
• Support scheduling, floor management, and shift coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and service.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and club service standards.
• Assist in handling member inquiries, special requests, and dining event support.
• Help drive service excellence, consistency, and member satisfaction.
• All other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager that reasonably fall within the scope of the position or the department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of restaurant supervisory or management experience (private club or fine dining preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
• Knowledge of POS systems, reservations platforms, and basic reporting.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and personalized service.
