The Advanced Specialty Staff RN - Medical Forensic Nurse provides compassionate, expert medical-forensic exams to patients following established protocols, including STI prophylaxis and photographic documentation. This role requires a registered nurse license, specialized forensic nursing training and certifications, and provides referrals for medical and psychological follow-up. The position is part-time, hospital-based, and supports patient-focused care within a large healthcare organization.
Description
The forensic nurse examiner will provide timely, compassionate care to patients seeking medical-forensic exams in accordance with established protocols. This will include completing a medical-forensic exam, providing prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and completing referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up.
